How to setup email service in NinjaTrader 8
In order to get emails sent from your NinjaTrader 8 platform, please follow the instructions below.
Go to : Tools -- Options -- General
General properties can be set in the Options window with the General category selected.
Click "Share Services" on the right side.
The Share Services dialog allows you to set up your various social media accounts. NinjaTrader ships with Sharing Adapters for Email, Facebook, StockTwits, and Twitter, and it is possible for developers to create their own ShareService in NinjaScript to access other social media outlets.
If you use Gmail, you can consider the following pic as an example.
Make sure you "Send email test" and if you cannot receive the test email there must be something wrong with your setting.
Depending on the available sharing service you are configuring changes the settings needed to complete the setup. Please see the below guides for setting up each of the sharing services pre loaded with NinjaTrader 8
Email Service Setup
To setup an Email account that can be used to send messages from NinjaTrader select "Email" from the available section and click add. The Properties section is now available to enter the needed information to set up your Email Share Service. NinjaTrader needs valid SMTP email server that it can use to send outbound emails.
